Congratulations to our Monetary Policy Challenge team of Sarah Bates, Charlotte Partington and Lulu Huang who have made it through to the national finals of this premier competition.

We are the only South Island team in the finals, and this is the 6th year in the past 10 that CGHS has made the final, a feat no other school in the country has managed to achieve. The girls have worked extremely hard to analyse domestic and global economic data to assess economic conditions and recommend what the OCR should be. The final will involve a 10 minute presentation to economists from the Reserve Bank, followed by 20 minutes of questions about their understanding of monetary policy. Good luck girls!
