Physiotherapy is available at Christchurch Girls’ High School Te Kura o Hine Waiora. Balance Physiotherapy provides a physiotherapy service on Mondays and Thursdays 8.30am -4.30pm.

Balance Physiotherapy provides sports physiotherapy and injury management specifically for the adolescent age group.

Physiotherapy provided at school means:

Easy convenient access, especially for ongoing multiple visit treatment.

Less academic time lost and no travel costs or time - Get treated early for a good recovery!

Early treatment of your injuries and h less time out of the sport or activities you are involved with. Consultation with coaches and Physical Education staff to help you get the correct level of activity as you recover.

Direct access without the need to be referred by a doctor. If the physiotherapist feels a GP or specialist needs to be consulted or X-rays taken, this can be organised this at assessment.

We provide ACC subsidised accident-related physiotherapy treatment, and we can initiate and assist with your ACC claim. We also treat non-ACC cases.

Mrs Yvonne Christensen

Physiotherapist;

Yvonne has over 20 years experience working with general and sports physiotherapy and has trained in Pilates. She has a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, is a credentialled McKenzie therapist and is a member of Physiotherapy New Zealand. She is currently undergoing Post Graduate study in Sports Physiotherapy. Yvonne has a love of the outdoors and enjoys cycling, walking and skiing. Yvonne provides physiotherapy treatment for the students and staff at Christchurch Girls' High School | Te Kura o HIne Waiora, Rangi Ruru Girls’ School and the Shirley Boys’ High/Avonside Girls’ High Clinic.
