Whānau Hui – Term 3, 2022

CGHS Publication —

The term 3 whānau hui will be held on Tuesday 16th August. The evening will commence at 5:30 pm in the staffroom.

Our kura whānau consists of any ākonga (students) and their whānau who are involved with kaupapa Māori within the school such as: being enrolled in the whānau ako class, learning Te Reo Māori, participating in kapahaka as well as those ākonga and their whānau who identify as being Māori.

The evening is about whakawhanaungatanga and coming together as a school community, something that Covid has made difficult for us over the last 2 years.

During the evening we will hear from our student whānau committee about what they have been introducing at kura, Vicki Teesdale (Literacy Coordinator) will outline the changes to NCEA Literacy in 2023 and will gather your thoughts about junior and senior literacy and Mr Peter Sawyer (Deputy Principal) will talk about the rebuild.

We aim to be finished by 7pm and a light supper will be provided.

We hope that you will take the opportunity to come into the kura and meet more members of our Christchurch Girls’ High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora community.
