On Thursday 13th May, the Music Department had our first Music Concert of the year.

This was chance for our parents and audience to see what we have been doing, and how far we have come. As usual, there was a wide variety of items from orchestras and choirs to Jazz Band, Rock Bands and several soloists. After the disruptions and uncertainties of last year, it was wonderful to be able to perform for an audience again.

It was great to see a number of students on so many levels performing to such a high standard. It was particularly pleasing to see how many juniors were performing, some for the first time. It was also pleasing to see students of all abilities and experience working together, supporting each other and giving their all in a true exhibition of our school values, particularly Whanaungatanga and Manaakitanga. A very enjoyable and positive evening set the scene for another successful year for the Music Department.
