Important Update - from your CGHS Old Girls' Committee.

CGHS Old Girls Association —

The Old Girls' Association AGM was held on the 15th of May 2021. As a result, some changes have been proposed.

The most significant change is the decision to discontinue the financial membership to the OGA. Rather, everyone who attended CGHS, past and present teachers and staff of CGHS and Acland House, will now by right, be a member of the Association.

This change means that it will be much easier for us to build up our database of Old Girls, subject to the requirements of the Privacy Act. It also removes the challenge of charging different rates for members and non-members when attending functions.

This move requires a change to our constitution.  A copy of the proposed updated Constitution is here

The proposed changes are highlighted in red. Please review the updated Constitution and respond with any comments/suggestions on or before 4pm Wednesday 2-June 2021.

Comments should be sent to the OG Secretary – Liz Haoni, lizhoani@xtra.co.nz It would be great to hear from you.

It is important to note that while this change means everyone who attended CGHS, past and present teachers and staff, are eligible to join the Association, we must follow our privacy rules. This means that we need a person's permission to gather and store their contact details.

After the new Constitution is in place, our website and membership form will be updated accordingly.

Membership information can be found on the OG website, or OG membership. We look forward to hearing from you, or seeing you soon.

Warmest regards, Kathryn Reid, President.
