Student Volunteer Army (SVA)
The Student Volunteer Army (SVA) is a nationally recognized service programme in which students sign-up and record the service and volunteer hours they do.
This encourages our students to get out of their comfort zone and try to help and support other members and groups within our wider community.
Students log their volunteering hours and earn pins as they reach particular milestones in recognition for their effort and dedication.
It takes five hours of service to earn the members pin, 32 hours to earn the Bronze award pin, 250 hours to earn the Silver award pin and 500 hours to earn the Gold award pin.
We’re pleased to announce that for October we had a number of students achieve pins.
Member Pins:
Elly Kim, Isabella Botha, Kanon Watanabe, Lily Wells.
Bronze Pins:
Alex Haaima, Elly Kim, Lily Wells, Naishaa Ramwani, Yuzuki Futami.
Silver Pins:
None this month.
Gold Pins:
Rosa Robert.
Congratulations to all these students and please come and see Mrs Peawini to collect your pin. We encourage all our students to sign up and become a Student Volunteer if they have not already done so.
