This term is exceedingly busy with the senior students and their teachers intensively focusing on completion of course work and assessment and preparation for school and NCEA formal examinations in early November.

On Saturday, 31 July the school Jazz Band performed at Ara music school for Jazz Quest 2021.

We are delighted to let you know that Ingrid Kosaka has been selected for the NZSO Young Soloist Showcase Concert.

Last weekend the Mid-South Regional Secondary Schools Fencing Championships were hosted here, in the Christchurch Girls High School/Te Kura o Hine Waiora gym.

On Saturday, 31 July the school kapa haka group was invited to perform at a multicultural festival at the La Vida Centre.

Rites of passage are the stepping-stones to adulthood. They mark our increasing faith in our children’s ability to take responsibility and act autonomously. The obvious traditional steps include getting a driver’s license, voting, and moving out of home.

On Friday, 30 July the combined CGBHS Orchestra went on a tour around the local intermediate schools to show off our musical talent.

Monday 22nd August is a Teacher Only Day. School will be closed to allow for a government mandated day around the changes to NCEA.

We continue to receive concerns from our neighbour's about student and parent drivers.
