Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival

On Saturday 7 April, eighteen girls represented Christchurch Girls' High School at the annual University of Otago, Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival. The festival was held in our new Performing Arts Centre.

The girls performed a fifteen-minute montage of scenes from The Tempest, directed by Tegan Patrick and choreographed by Year 13 student Nellie Evison. After a solid term of rehearsal, the girls did themselves proud with a performance that drew gasps from the audience in its final moments. The scene was awarded, "Most Thought Provoking and Outstanding Moment".  It was a superb ensemble effort from all performers!
