In what continues to be a very busy term for the Music Department, we had five groups in the recent Chamber Music Competition, held last Wednesday, 12th June at ‘The Piano’.

CGHS sent a strong group of talented girls to the Canterbury Secondary Schools Gym Sport Competition at Olympia Stadium in Wigram on Tuesday, June 18th.

Come along next Wednesday 26th June to the Year 12 Drama production evening. Our students have been rehearsing all term to present two shows that deal with relatable issues for a teenage audience.

Last weekend in Timaru, we had a strong team of 10 runners represent our school at the National Secondary Schools’ Cross Country Championships.

Last Friday, 14 June, all 44 Business Studies students were required to pitch their business ideas to a panel of four judges at Christ’s College.

Book Week 2019 is a chance to promote our much-loved mythical stories. A huge dragon greets all visitors to the library - made by our student librarians over many weeks, and it is magnificent.

The school has a very good relationship with the local residents of the streets surrounding Christchurch Girls' High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora.

CGHS Old Girls, rowing sisters Lucy and Phoebe Spoors may be in different boats at the upcoming World Cup regattas, but they have each other's backs.

The deadline for receipt of applications for out of zone places for next year is Friday 26th July 2019 at 4pm.

The Christchurch Girls’ High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora Board of Trustees will be meeting at 5pm on Monday 24th June in Room 115. Parents are welcome to attend for the first 15 minutes.
