This week has been a colourful week with Year 13 in dress up mode, an end of year tradition.

This week has been our annual year 13 dress up week.

After the disappointing cancellation of the Cycle NZ schools national events, three of our cyclists have had success in the first round of the National Road Series.

The impact of Covid that we have all experienced all year in terms of cancelling or modifying significant sporting and cultural events has also significantly affected what we can organise in terms of prizegiving events.

On the 30 October Christchurch Girls’ High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora sent three equestrian teams to the Canterbury Dressage Interschools. Riders rode at level one and level two and completed two dressage tests each.

Ngā mihi to our Year 13 student Paige Bowman, who collected, anthologised, and published creative writing from across the kura to showcase the varied and wonderful writing our students do.

On Wednesday evening the Eco Action nursery tree planting group held a small function at Mona Vale to thank the volunteer students, teachers, and outside organisations for their hard work this year.

Three of our alumni have been named in the Matatū squad for the coming 2022 Super Rugby Aupiki competition. This is the first women’s professional rugby competition to be played in New Zealand. Congratulations to these wonderful athletes.
