Minnie Robberds and her friend Nat Hutton, from St Margaret's, have won first place in the Solo/Duo section of the National Final of RockQuest.

Congratulations to four of our students, Jasmine Glennie in Year 9, Charlotte Cotton and Lucy Bates in Year 10 and Rebecca Bates in Year 11, for their excellent results.

Courtney Hillyer came 2nd in the U18 Women's 5km Walk at the NZ Road Race Champs in Auckland.

This year, winter tournament week saw the CGHS 2nd XI hockey team flying to the small town of Stratford, just outside of New Plymouth.

Recently four students had a go at the Orienteering Championships in Bottle Lake Forest.

The Christchurch Girls' High School and Christchurch Boys' High School Combined Orchestra as well as the Combined String Orchestra performed on Tuesday in the annual Christchurch Secondary Schools' Orchestra Festival, held back in the Town Hall for the first time in eight years.

On Monday 16th our Show Choir and Cantrices performed at The Voices Festival held at the YMCA.

The PTA Secondhand Uniform Shop will be open next on Saturday 12th October 2019 from 12pm - 1.30pm.

The Christchurch Girls’ High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora Board of Trustees will be meeting at 5pm on Monday 23rd September in Room 115. Parents are welcome to attend for the first 15 minutes.

The local elections are being held on Saturday 12th October, where Christchurch will elect a Mayor, 16 councillors and 37 community board members.
