Cyclists

Remember that cycle helmets are compulsory when travelling to and from school and school activities. Helmets should be named. 

 If you ride your bike down Fendalton Road do not attempt a right-hand turn against the traffic flow. Ride to the end of Fendalton Road and hop off at the Avon Bridge before the lights and walk across the pedestrian crossing. You may cycle on the path that runs beside the river to school. It is a designated cycle track. 

If you are cycling to school along Harper Avenue, ride inside the fence when the cycle track begins and ride across the cycle crossing to Deans Avenue cycle track beside the Avon and CGHS. 

There is a cycle track extending from Mona Vale to St James Park, Papanui.
