In the last week of term 2, Erin Humm and Amelia Ridgen (both year 13) competed at the 2022 FMG Junior Young Farmers of the Year Grand Final in Whangārei and came away with the win.

The newly formed South Asian Dance group represented Christchurch Girls' High School /Te Kura o Hine Waiora at the annual Christchurch Multi-Cultural Festival during the school holidays.

The annual regional Māori speech competitions were hosted this year by the University of Canterbury and Te Waka Pākākāno, at the end of Term Two.

The New Zealand Gymnastics Championships were held at the ILT Stadium Southland in Invercargill during the first week of the school holidays.

Seven talented students participated in the Jessie Clark Memorial Prize essay competition at the end of term two.

The Jehts (Cleo Cavell, Mya Cawood, Reuben Anderson and Scarlett Robson) were awarded first place in the region!

The Christchurch Girls' High School /Te Kuru o Hine Waiora Lip Sync will take place at Christchurch Boys' High School on Thursday 25th August at 7pm.
