Last week the Christchurch Girls' High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora Senior A Water Polo team competed in the South Islands Secondary Schools Waterpolo here in Christchurch.

The NCEA Top Art exhibition is on now at the Christchurch Art Gallery until 14 April in the education room downstairs.

On 24 March a strong team of 34 rowers headed North to compete at Maadi - the Secondary School Rowing Nationals.

Year 11 Art students have been busy researching and producing drawings and mixed media artworks this term.

In Week 8, the Year 10 classes headed into Ōtautahi’s city centre and to the Antarctic Centre on a field trip that aimed to help us learn more about climate change and the effect that climate change is having on Antarctica.

Last week our year 13 Geography students took a visit to the Christchurch City Council Civic Offices.

At the New Zealand Para Swimming Nationals last week, Gabriella Smith, Year 10, won the Under 16 200 Freestyle event.

We will be looking for a new Exam Centre Manager for the 2021 exams.

On Friday 9th of April and Saturday 10th of April, the South Island Secondary Schools (SISS) athletics competition took place here in Christchurch at Ngā Puna Wai.

The CGHS team won the B grade at the SUPA Schools tournament on Sunday, 28th March.

On the 10th of April, 19 CGHS students participated in The Relay For Life event in North Canterbury.

As we head into term 2 and 3, Winter Uniform must now be worn to school.

The Environment Committee will be running a clothes drive early Term 2.

The first annual NZ National Dutch Speech competition is happening online during Dutch week.
