HURUNUI CROSS COUNTRY 2023

Congratulations to all Year 4-8 students who participated in the Hurunui Cross Country on Monday 22nd May!

On Monday 36 CAS students participated in the Hurunui Cross Country at the Scargill Domain. 

Student Placings were as follows:

Year 4 Girls - Rosie Beaven 2nd, Olivia O'Carroll 7th, Julia van Reenen 9th.

Year 4 Boys - Jack Forrester 1st, Jim Chambers 3rd, Jett Morgan 4th, Frank Sheild 7th.

Year 5 Girls - Rylee Hazeldine 2nd, Indy Norton 3rd, Isobel Pavey 5th, Jeidah Topia 8th.

Year 5 Boys - Deegan Wynn 3rd, Fletcher van Reenen 6th, Edward de Castro 7th, Fred Jamison 12th.

Year 6 Girls - Kylie Beaven 2nd, Ada Chambers 3rd, Louisa Dillon 4th, Samantha Ensor 8th.

Year 6 Boys - Caleb Green 6th, Max Daly 10th.

Year 7 Girls - Chloe Beaven 1st, Maddi Dillon 13th, Jemma Hanna 14th.

Year 7 Boys - Axel Morgan 1st, George Chambers 9th, Harry Dampier-Crossley 12th, Conrad van Reenen 13th.

Year 8 Girls - Mia Whelan 3rd.

Year 8 Boys - Jake Martin 4th, Damien Feron, Ollie Clouston, George Mulcock - places not recorded.

All students represented CAS with excellent effort and positive attitudes - great work everyone! 

Katie (Sports Coordinator) will provide further information for students in Years 5-8 who have placed 1st to 6th in their event and will be attending the Canterbury Cross Country on Wednesday 21st June.

Thank you to Mr Dawson for being the teacher in charge at the event, and to Pip Jamieson and Garry Patterson who volunteered to marshal on the track. 

Thank you to parents who provided transport, your support is greatly appreciated. Parent support and encouragement was excellent - I hope you all enjoyed the event!
