An outline of how we will run the school athletics day/s are provided below.

After considering all options and what was reasonably feasible we have decided to run a Junior (Years 1-6) Athletics Day at Cheviot Area School on the 23rd of October. This means that parents of year 1-6 students will be able to watch their children compete here at school and it will save unnecessary travel.

Then on the 29th of October we will hold the Senior (Y7-13) Athletics Day at Rangiora New Life School (RNLS). Transport will be provided by the school at no cost to the students. 

Using the appropriately designed track at RNLS for the longer sprints (eg 200m,400m etc) will help to ensure that the times we record are valid and reliable. It also reduces the likelihood of injury. 

Please note some events may be modified or completed on other school days.
