Rock Your Socks! World Down Syndrome Day

Jasmin Findlay —

This coming Tuesday is World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD). WDSD is a global awareness day, observed every year on March 21st.

For World Down Syndrome Day 2023, people and organisations around the world are being called to be "With Us Not For Us" which is this year's theme.

Next Tuesday, please "rock your socks" by coming dressed in your most brightly coloured socks (keeping the rest of the usual school uniform) to raise awareness and help foster an inclusive culture within our school as well as celebrate uniqueness and diversity.

#LotsOfSocks help us to get people talking on World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD), 21 March and all year round.

One of our secondary students has designed our own CAS Rock Your Socks colouring competition. This will be available to students on Tuesday, with judging on Friday - by our very own Jack Venter and Ted Stevenson!
Thanks, everyone, for your support and for helping to make our school the welcoming and inclusive environment for all our learners that it is!
