CasaFest 2025 was an unforgettable inter-school event held over three vibrant days in the picturesque bay town of Akaroa. Students from five Area Schools came together for a dynamic programme filled with sports competitions, brain-teasing quizzes, creative photography, hands-on cooking challenges, and inspiring workshops at the local marae. Each evening, students were warmly welcomed into local homes, giving them a chance to experience Akaroa’s charm and history firsthand while getting some well-earned rest.

The excitement didn’t stop there; CasaFest featured a lively social night where students dressed up as their favourite celebrities and danced the night away. The grand finale was the crowd-favourite lip-sync dance competition, where each school hit the stage to show off their best moves to classic Beach Boys tunes. It was a perfect ending to a week of connection, creativity, and community spirit. With Cheviot proudly claiming the Fair Play Award and bringing it home, ready to defend their title on home turf at next year's CasaFest!
