Top Team Challenge
Sport Canterbury came to CAS on Tuesday 13th April
Top Team games
test teamwork, initiative, problem solving and communication skills. Our Yr 3-13 students were teamed up in house year groups to compete against one another in a circuit of activity and
obstacle stations.
What Skills Can Students Develop or Enhance Through Top Team?
Thinking – Developing strategies to solve tasks.
Managing self – Using complex motor skills to achieve tasks.
Developing interpersonal skills through challenging situations.
Practicing strategies to minimize risk.
Team Work – Identifying issues and developing strategies to achieve positive outcomes; using interpersonal skills to make positive choices in a variety of settings.
Participating and contributing – Experiencing a range of personally
enjoyable physical activities.
It was awesome to see our students working together and getting involved in every activity, a lot of laughter and encouragement was heard from every station.
