On Monday 20th of February, Cheviot Area School sent a team of 11 students to the annual Area Schools swimming champs.

The team consisted of Fergus Sidey, Alex Kirkland, Skye Somerville, Leilani Fraser, Macleod Fitzgibbon, Chloe McNabb, Lucy Hyde, Zahra Pengelly, Katelyn Ellis, Paige McNabb and Renae Fitzgibbon.

All swimmers gave their best and it's great preparation for our Year 7/8 swimmers as they head into their Hurunui Zones next Tuesday 28th. We had a number of placings and our relay teams were competitive. Thanks to Mrs Loughnan for the sensational time keeping.
