Six of our senior students are proudly representing the Top of the South Area Schools in the National Area Schools competition in Rotorua in just over a weeks time.

Cheviot Area School students have a proud history of success at the National Area Schools tournaments with many being selected to New Zealand teams.

This year the tournament is in Rotorua during the first week of the holidays. Our team consists of Jhykana Falwasser, Katelyn Ellis, Teb Knight, Sam Pouanga, Will Fitzgibbon, and Renae Fitzgibbon (Chloe McNabb was also selected but is injured). 

This year we have students representing in Netball, Basketball, Volleyball, Rugby and Ki-o-rahi. Go Cheviot!!!

A big thank-you must also go to all of you who have helped these students with their fundraising and sponsorship. Each student has also been sponsored by a local business. So thank you to the Cheviot Lions Club, Cheviot Home and School, Harris Meats, Knight Contracting, Two Rivers and Phoebe Plains for their support.
