Observatory visit

Amy Hewett —

The observatory trip was a fantastic success on Friday 15th. The clouds parted and gave us a clear evening to view Jupiter, star clusters, constellations and a nebula.

Some students from Yrs 5 to 13 were selected to attend a viewing at the Oxford Observatory last week. This trip had been postponed from Term 2 due to cloudy weather. Thankfully the cloud cover lifted and gave us a clear night in Oxford for viewing the objects in the night sky up to 150 light years away! It was an absolute privilege for these students to get this opportunity and I hope to offer it again next year to keen astronomers.
