Spamalot - Opening night is here!
Over the past three months, four of our fabulous year 9&10 students have been working incredibly hard during rehearsals for the Hurunui Theatre Group's production of "Spamalot."
Lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL, SPAMALOT retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, and features a bevy of glitzy dancers, not to mention flying cows, killer rabbits, and obnoxious french taunters.
Our wonderful students have been rehearsing at the Waipara hall throughout the winter, sometimes up to 14 hours a week, to produce a fabulous show that is definitely worth the ticket!
The show has also been an opportunity for the four students to complete the hours and assessments for their Duke of Edinburgh awards. Working on elements of theatre and stage presence, it has been wonderful to see the progression in their confidence and performance.
The show opens tomorrow evening at 7:30pm at the Waipara Hall. Tickets can be bought online at https://www.hurunuitheatre.org, at Sally Macs in Amberley or at Gifts and Finds, Cheviot.
Looking forward to seeing you all there!
