There are some changes to the teaching team for 2018 that I would like to share with you.

Elsie Duncan has decided to retire from teaching at the end of this year. Elsie has contributed such a huge amount to the lives of the young people of Cheviot and the Hurunui area. We wish her well in her retirement and look forward to celebrating with her at the end of the year. Elspeth Loughnan will be teaching in Room 1 for term one to ensure continuity in that important part of the school.

Erin Smail has got a position teaching science in Nelson at her old school. We thank Erin for all the work she has done with our students in the last two years and congratulate her on her new position.

Jim Li is finishing his fixed term position at the end of the year. We thank him and wish him well for next year.

Marilyn Burgess and Amy Hewett return from leave. We welcome them both back and look forward to them working with us in maths and science respectively.

Scot Puckett is our new PE teacher. We are excited about the skills that he brings and welcome him into the team.
