The Cheviot Area School Board is holding it's Triennial Elections this September! We will be filling three parent positions and the staff and student representative rolls. We will be sending out nomination forms via email this Thursday 29 July 2022 for the parent elections. First, we need to ensure that we have the names of all eligible voters. Please look through the attached list and, if you are eligible to vote in these elections, check that your name is on the list and spelled correctly.  

**If you are both a staff member (permanent or casual) and a parent please let the Returning Officer know by email BY THIS FRIDAY whether you would like to be on the Parent Roll or the Staff Roll. You cannot be on both. You can only vote in one of these elections. If you do not notify the Returning Officer you will default to staying on the Staff Roll.** 

You are eligible to vote in the parent election or stand as a parent representative if you meet the following criteria: 

A “parent” is someone who is a student’s father, mother, legal guardian or immediate caregiver. Both parents of a student have the right to vote, even if they do not live with the student...If you are a member of Cheviot Area School staff and choose to be on the parent roll, you can nominate and vote but you cannot stand as a candidate in the parent election."
