School Holidays are looming, so now is a good time to be thinking about how you'll be spending all your free time.

Of course, it's a good time to catch up on your reading, and fill in those pizza wheels for some free pizza with the Hell Reading Challenge - now open for 2022! Seven books get you a free pizza.I'll be reading The Sea In Winter, Genesis Begins Again, and The Benefits of Being an Octopus. If you need help picking your holiday reading, let me know.

While our library will be closed over the school holidays, check out the fun activities the public libraries in our area are hosting. Most of these activities are free. Play traditional Māori games, grab a movie, make your own badges, design and make a t-shirt based on your favourite manga, or become a librarian for a morning and go behind the scenes at Tūranga - our main city library. All school holiday activities at your local libraries listed here.

Eastgate Shopping Centre, the Palms, Northlands, and Westfield Riccarton will also be running some school holiday activities, but nothing is set in stone yet - so keep your eyes on their Facebook pages!
