Chisnallwood Team in NFL Flag Tournament
Chisnallwood sent a group of 12 students to compete in the first ever NFL Flag Tournament in Christchurch in over 20 years - with a trip to Wellington for the top two teams, and then the best in New Zealand would be flown to Orlando for the world championships.
Despite the practices being held at the same time as AIMS games (meaning we never had everyone all together until the tournament), the Chisnallwood Team did exceptionally well - finishing second in pool play with a 4-1 record, with some excellent play.
The semi-final game against Breens was a really tightly fought game, but unfortunately the Chisnallwood team just fell short, losing by one touchdown.
The silver-lining was being able to play our reserves in our consolation game to finish out the day, which was a nice way to finish out the day.
