On Wednesday the 17th of November the Chisnallwood Sports Development Crew took on the Tough Kids Challenge held at South New Brighton Domain. This event is always popular with 1000s of kids from all over Christchurch attending. Hosted and run by Sport Canterbury and Primary Sports Canterbury with the intention of encouraging kids to get active and enjoy being part of a great event involving physical activity.

The course itself is made up of roughly 3kms of obstacles, water, mud, foam guns, fire hoses, water tanks, tyre pits and inflatables to challenge the kids and keep the run interesting and fun. This year with the water at high tide it was a very wet course with the water being up to some students waist! The kids smashed out the course and got stuck into the mud and obstacles. Everyone enjoyed the event and was a great way to celebrate the years efforts in Sports Development.
