ICAS Assessments 2024
We are thrilled to announce that our school will once again be providing the ICAS assessments this academic year. These assessments aim to enhance students' critical thinking and problem-solving abilities across various subjects including English, Mathematics, Science, Spelling, Digital Technologies, and Writing.
ICAS Assessments
The International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS) is an independent, quality skills-based assessment program which rewards and recognises achievement. ICAS, developed by Educational Assessment Australia (EAA) since 1981, gives you a broad insight into your child’s performance across a range of curriculum areas.
The assessments are suitable for students wishing to extend themselves academically and take up the personal challenge of completing a formal assessment. Your child will be presented with high-quality, expert-developed questions, allowing them to apply their learning without the need for prior study or revision.
ICAS assessments have been online for the past few years, a move that reflects a sector-wide transition to computer-based assessments. This allows greater accessibility for students and faster delivery of results.

How to enrol in ICAS Assessments
To enrol your Year 4 - 8 child in ICAS, please go to the ICAS Parent Page and use our CTK school access code to enrol and pay.
The CTK access code is: ETA549. Payments are made directly to ICAS.
Please note:
After careful consideration, it has been decided that CTK Excellence Badges will no longer be awarded to students participating in ICAS assessments. This decision is motivated by the recognition that ICAS is a paid assessment, posing accessibility challenges for some Christ the King students. Instead, certificates will be presented to all participating students, with their achievements acknowledged during our regular Term time assembly.
Finally, for those who have taken part in the KIWI Assessments previously, we have decided to streamline our assessment process in 2024 and focus solely on ICAS.
