Last week we held a highly successful ‘Character Dress Up Day’ to inspire written language in our classrooms. The theme was “Once Upon a Time. . .”

This allowed for a huge range of choice, and the children turned up in an amazing array of costumes. The children came dressed as an existing book character, or invented one of their own. Our staff also  joined in the fun, wearing fantastic costumes. The buddy classes got together and the older students helped their young buddies to write a description of their character. This descriptive writing will be displayed  around the school.
