Canterbury Cross Country

Ryan McInnes —

On Wednesday 21 June, 17 Christ The King students competed in the Canterbury Cross Country held at Nga Puna Wai.

With large fields of over 200 and a tight course, racing was very exciting.

After many weeks of training in the cold and dark, all students competed with pride and supported each other energetically.

Special mention goes to the following students:

Special Mention to Lily Dunne 6th out of 200, Charlotte Dunne 14th, Eva McNabb 31st, Ruyen Abutin 35th, Tom Bailey 37th and Sophie Snell 38th.

A big thanks to all the parents who provided transport and a special mention to Diane Mackenzie, Michelle Chan, Hamish Gibson, Geraldine Toman and Nicole Bailey for helping on the day.

Good luck to Lily, Charlotte and Eva who will now compete in the Inter-Regional championships in September.
