Catherine Bartlett —

Welcome back to 2018 to all our CTK families! I hope that you have all had enjoyable and relaxing holidays.

I am really sorry to email for helpers so early in the year but we have been asked to marshal at the Red Zone 6, a mountain bike challenge in the Burwood Red Zone, on Sunday 11 February. We will do this in conjunction with the CTK youth group to help with numbers.

Sunday 11 February

We are able to do this event either in 2 shifts, or if people are happy to do the full day that is also ok.

2 shifts:

10am – 1pm (possibly meet for briefing slightly before – time TBA)

1pm - 4pm

Please let me know which shift you prefer or whether you are happy to do the full day.

CJM Events have also offered us the following events - we earn $1000 from each of these so it is quite easy money as there is very little organising on our part so we are reluctant to turn any down but of course it does depend on being able to find the helpers.

ChCh Motorway Half Marathon 4 March 20

Muddy Good Run 8 April 30

Bridge to Bridge (North) 24 June 20

On a more social note, our Fish & Chip night is planned for Friday 9 February so hope to see you all there.

Our AGM is Monday 12 February - as a few people have moved on from CTK we would love to gain a few more members. We will also require a couple of new people on the Exec so please consider whether you would like to help out in any role - feel free to contact me with any questions.

We also would like to update our Friends of the Parent Council list – these people are emailed info from the parent council and emailed directly if we need help with events. There is no obligation to say yes unless you are able. If you would like to be added to this list please let me know.

This year will be a fair year and whilst we have plenty of willing helpers at this stage we are still looking for a person or 2 to coordinate the overall fair. This doesn't mean doing everything yourself, there just needs to be a person who makes sure everyone else has done what they need to do and oversee things. Triona Doocey has given us amazing notes and is happy to help the new person with any advice and guidance. Again please let me know if you might be interested in taking on this role.

Thanks for all the support last year and we look forward to another great year at CTK.
