Christ the King Primary Sport Canterbury Triathlon
Last Tuesday, we had 16 students represent Christ the King at the Primary Sport Canterbury Triathlon. It was a beautiful day on a farm just outside of Oxford and as always our students did us proud - positive team spirit, outstanding sportsmanship and some great results. It is a challenging event. The Year 5/6's swam 100m, biked 7km and ran 2km in their race, while the Year 7/8's swam 150m, biked 10km and ran 2.5km. Well done to Lachlan Callaghan, George Bailey, Sophie Snell, Lily Dunne, Lucy Hannan, Eva McNabb, Cillian McCracken, James Thwaites, Sophie Johnston, Mitchell Prutton, Christopher Saunders, Eira Wong, Harlow Dugdale, Tom Bailey and Louis Corcoran for their efforts on the day.A special mention goes to Charlotte Dunne who finished in 33 minutes flat, to finish 6 Overall for the Year 6 Girls! A huge achievement. Many thanks to Peter Dunne for volunteering as a marshall for the event and to the large team of parents who assisted with transport and cheered our students on. Can't wait to give it another go next year!
