Stations of the Cross Liturgy and Gold Coin for Caritas

On Wednesday 12 April at 11.45am the school will be participating in the Stations of the Cross Liturgy.

The Liturgy will be led by our Special Character Service Group with students from each class presenting a freeze frame of their station.

We would like to invite parents, family and friends to this Liturgy to remember the journey of Jesus to his death and resurrection.

Gold Coin for Caritas

The Season of Lent is  about prayer, fasting and almsgiving.

The students have been exploring the Lent Caritas unit of 'Just Water.'  This teaching unit is about our Pacific neighbours and the plight they are in due to climate change. The unit also explores what groups such as Caritas are doing to assist these countries.

Caritas Aotearoa New Zealand is the Catholic Bishops’ agency for justice, peace and development. We are working on behalf of the New Zealand Catholic Bishops Conference for a world free of poverty and injustice through community development, advocacy, education and emergency relief.

On Wednesday 12 April, we would like each child to bring a gold coin donation for Caritas. If each child was able to give $1, this would raise over $300 for Caritas.
