Primary Canterbury Centrals Cross Country

26 students travelled to Halswell Quarry yesterday to compete in the Canterbury Primary Schools Cross Country Championship.

After weeks of hard training all athletes impressed with their performances, and with fields of well over 100 of the best athletes in Canterbury we can be very proud of our children.

Some outstanding results were:

Helena Scanlan 4th, Katie Emms 32nd , Max Coltman 35th, Samantha Snell 41st , Macy Bennett 44th, Lydia Fitzgerald 44th, Joseph Fitzgerald 45th , Eve Doocey 47th.

A big thanks for all the parents who helped with transport and jobs on the day. See photos below.

A special congratulations to....

Helena will now compete in the Inter-Regional Cross Country Event.

CTK v St Annes Year 7 and 8 rugby  -

Our recent inter-school Year 7-8 rugby match against St Anne’s ended a long drought of non-competition years between the two schools in this code. The two Catholic schools haven’t met in a competitive match for at least 12 seasons, so it was great to get together with St Anne’s in Hagley Park last Friday. St Anne’s had a number away through illness, however our boys were more than keen to make up their numbers.
Final score CTK 35 St Anne’s 7
