ANZA 2018
Our participation in ANZA this year was well worth it. Not only did I meet with engaged agents from our target markets, but we were able to secure ANZA 2021 for Christchurch. Please see the article for information on the event and agent contacts.
The 11th ANZA (Australia New Zealand Agent) Workshop – held in Auckland from April 4th to 6th, 2018 – was a resounding success. The event saw a significant increase in the number of participating agents, with an impressive 49% attending their first-ever ANZA Workshop.
A total of 190 agents representing 148 organisations from 43 countries on five continents were in attendance. This represents an increase of 9% over 2017, with a notable rise in participation from Colombia, Brazil, and Vietnam. There was also strong agent representation from countries as diverse as Turkey, Slovakia, and Sri Lanka.
During the conference this year, I met with 27 agents from these countries:
- Vietnam 8
- China 4
- Korea 3
- Philippines 2
- Latin America 5
- Japan 3
- Thailand 1
- Africa 1
- India 1
Of the 27 agents:
- 8 were from Auckland and looking to expand into other regions
- 3 had new offices in Christchurch
- 17 of them were managers in their organizations
To track engagement, I have sent all these agents a follow up newsletter full of Christchurch information:

See below files attached for more information on the agents I met with, their contact details, stats and my notes regarding their interest in Christchurch. If can't be bothered looking through the list, just email me and I will send you a tailored list for your sector.
Karen will also be following up with the Vietnamese Agents specifically because most of the Vietnamese agents at ANZA this year were not that familiar with NZ and need some more focused training.
