What is Rugby X?
Rugby X is a brand-new non-contact indoor version of rugby designed for tertiary students to have fun and enjoy rugby in New Zealand. Canterbury Rugby Football Union (CRFU) is partnering with Christchurch NZ to pilot the game with current international students to test how it works and work out what variations of the game best suit student needs. This has never happened before in New Zealand and presents an exciting new opportunity for players of all backgrounds to engage with New Zealand’s national sport.
Who can play Rugby X?
If you are an international student that wants to participate in this fun indoor game and help the CRFU develop the next best indoor game, we want to meet you! We are looking for students that are keen to give things a go and provide feedback on what is fun and engaging for you and your peers.
