Learning Partnership Meetings - Week 4

Rob Rush —

On Tuesday 26th February and Wednesday 27th February we are hosting "Learning Partnership Meetings".

These "Learning Partnership Meetings" will take a slightly different format this year.  The purpose of these meetings is for you to meet your child's teacher and to share anything you wish the teacher to know about your child.  This will help the teacher gain a much deeper knowledge and understanding about your child.

Forming a positive, collaborative relationship with parents and whanau is very important to us and research suggests that having strong, positive partnerships between home and school can lead to greater student outcomes.

Please note that it is completely optional for you to bring your child to these meetings.  Some parents would like to have their child present, while others prefer to have 1:1 time with the teacher.  We want parents to lead the conversation, tell us about your child and how we can best meet their needs and to learn what aspirations you have for your child.   These meetings are not designed to discuss where your child sits academically against the National Curriculum.  This information will be shared with parents later in the term.

Learning Partnership Meetings will be 10 minutes long and they will be held in your child's Homebase.  There will be an online booking system set up for you to book a suitable time.    Bookings will be available on Monday with an email including instructions on how to book a suitable time.

Days and times are as follows:

  • Tuesday 26 February:  3:10pm - 7:30pm
  • Wednesday 27 February:  3:10pm - 5:30pm

Look out for the email on Monday and we look forward to hosting you during Week 4.

Kind regards,

Rob
