Kororā o Mārama - Penguin of Clearview

Clearview —

Our students have been working really hard on developing a design for our Kororā o Mārama (Penguin of Clearview) to represent the challenges of climate change on the penguin’s habitat and our Clearview narrative, including cultural elements.

These designs were created and submitted either independently, through classroom learning programmes and/or via the lunchtime art workshops led by senior students.

We are really thrilled with the designs which have now been submitted for selection. The selection team is meeting this week to identify elements of Year 0-2, Year 3-4, Year 5-6 and Year 7-8 designs to incorporate in our final design.

The next step is to transfer the design to the 100cm x 70cm plaster-cast penguin. The students who have their designs selected will be involved in this process, along with the senior students who are supporting this project.

We are really looking forward to sharing the next step in our process with you all.
