We were the lucky school chosen to sing the National Anthem before the Blackcaps games at the ICC T20 World Cup currently being held in Dubai. So on Thursday 23 September, Daniel, Jack, Tilly-Mae, Gus, Olivia, Baz, Sophia had the chance to sing and have it filmed.

We practiced singing the version from the ICC with the help of Mrs Stead so we could get the timing right. During filming we had to do a few practise runs and then we started filming. It took just over an hour before we finished, we got shots of us singing, celebrating, running, holding the flag and more.

We also got a free Blackcaps T20 top for the filming and we fortunately got to keep it. It was an amazing reason to get out of school and sing some tunes whilst representing our school and the country's cricket team. You can see us singing before each of the games.
