Designing our local school curriculum

Dion Stechmann —

Kia ora whānau,

As you may already know, across New Zealand schools are currently exploring and learning about the refreshed New Zealand Curriculum document called Te Mātaiaho. We are looking at how we can bring alive the National Curriculum - Te Mātaiaho in a unique way which reflects our school community, it's needs and desires.

This year our plan is to gather the voice of whānau - family, kaimahi - staff, and akonga - learners, to help us design and localise our school curriculum.

We will then work with this information to bring Te Mātaiaho alive through connecting the themes and topics (learning) shared by our community to the new Understand, Know and Do elements on Te Mātaiaho. Creating an overview of learning across our kura.

Please complete the below survey to help us gather as much information and ideas as possible.
