Ice-Ice Babies

It was the 2nd of November 2019, and the Clearview Ice Babies were doing their hair, clothes, and makeup in the Clearview school staff room.

Our costumes consisted of a pink cap with a sewn-on hashtag and dollar sign, a white tank top with a sewn-on dollar necklace, a colourful jungle crop top, white leggings, a pink bow rainbow eyeshadow and lots of pink blush.

Then we were off to the Christchurch Boys High School and we were going there because we got chosen to represent Clearview Primary.

While we were backstage, we felt nervous, confident and under pressure. It smelt dust and grime. We saw lots of schools succeeding in their performances.  We heard songs playing shouting applauding and talking.

The audience was excited, proud and very supportive. As we entered the stage, we noticed that it was musty, dusty and bright. After we had accomplished the dance we all waited in silence ready for the judges.  They then announced that the Clearview Ice-ice Babies had come first.
