A message from the Principal
Kia ora e te whānau
A very warm welcome to our newest Clearview tamariki and their families who started school last week, turning five! It has been wonderful to see them settling in so well, embracing new routines, and forming friendships. Their enthusiasm and curiosity are already shining through as they explore their learning spaces, enjoy time with their teachers, and have fun getting to know each other.
What a fantastic term we are having at Clearview! Our tamariki have been engaged in a wide range of experiences that enrich their learning and provide opportunities to grow, connect, and lead.
In the pool, Tiramaroa students have been developing their confidence and skills through our swimming and water safety programme, an essential part of keeping our young people safe in and around water. We were also proud to have our swimmers represent Clearview at the Selwyn Zones Swimming Sports, showcasing their dedication and talent.
Our Year 8 student leaders had an unforgettable adventure, tramping to Woolshed Creek Hut. This experience not only challenged them physically but also strengthened their teamwork and resilience. Meanwhile, our Matatea Team have been out and about, visiting neighbouring schools to explore what is the same and different our schools and to form new friendships, a wonderful way to expand their understanding of community.
Leadership continues to shine across Clearview, with our Peer Mediators, Road Patrollers, Library Monitors, Café Helpers, Garden Club members, and Wheels Track Monitors all playing an important role in making our school a positive and welcoming place. It’s incredible to see our tamariki stepping up to contribute, creating a school environment where everyone feels valued and supported.
A huge thank you to our amazing Clearview community for your support of our upcoming Colour Run this Sunday at 1:30pm on the field! We can’t wait to see our tamariki, staff and whānau coming together for a fun filled afternoon of colour, energy, and community spirit. A special shoutout to our incredible PCG for all their hard work in organising this event. It’s going to be a fantastic experience for everyone! We appreciate all those who help behind the scenes, from setting up to fundraising and volunteering.
See you Sunday for some colourful fun!
Much respect,
Kirsty Panapa
