Open Afternoon
Parents, students and extended family are warmly invited to come to our open afternoon on Tuesday 30 January from 1.00-3.00pm. Homebase teachers will be available to meet and greet families in their learning areas during this time.
There will be a BBQ cooking so feel free to pop down to enjoy a sausage or two!
Vanessa will have the Cafe open so you can purchase a coffee or drink and enjoy your time easing back into the routine.
We will have some gentlemen from the Men’s Shed here engraving names on scooters for a gold coin donation so please come and see them to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity.
The Leadership team, along with our 2024 Student Leaders, will be available to provide tours around the school and answer any questions you might have. All are welcome.
Stationery
Stationery packs can be purchased online from Qizzle and are delivered to your home. Qizzle does not have any retail shops so we recommend that you order this now or early in the new year so it arrives on time. Packs are set for each team and year level as specified on https://schoolpacks.co.nz/. Search for Clearview Primary, enter your child’s name and choose the team/year level, then select the stationery items you require. If your child is a new entrant, select the New Entrant then Uranga list. Please note: all of the stationery on the list will be required at school, but some items are sundry and do not need to be purchased brand new. You may have some items (suncream or book box) from the previous year so you are welcome to reuse these.
School Uniform
Please visit our school website (www.clearview.school.nz) for our uniform guidelines. Our supplier is NZ Uniforms and the uniform can be ordered online at nzuniforms.com/clearview or you can visit their shop at 455 Blenheim Road, Sockburn. Their hours are Monday-Friday 9.00am-5.00pm and Saturday 9.00am-4.00pm. Sunhats are compulsory in Term 1 and 4 and are available at the office for $18.00 each.
Our Parent Community Group (PCG) holds a second hand uniform sale each term. They will hold a sale at the open day on Monday 30th January, 1.00-3.00pm, in the hall. They have a selection of most uniform items. As this is held the day before school starts, please ensure that you do have one item of the polo shirt, skort or shorts and sunhat, so the children can arrive on Wednesday in their correct school uniform. BYOD
At Clearview, we encourage families to purchase a BYOD device for their child from Year 3 upwards. This will ensure that their child has consistent access to a device whenever required and it is set up for their individual needs.
