I went to EPro8 this year and loved it.

You have to complete a variety of STEM challenges, like calculating mass, using circuits, and build large structures over a few hours. You are given a booklet containing the challenges.

My favourite challenge this year was called “Apple picking”. There was a cut out of a tree with magnets embedded, and plastic apples, also with magnets.  You had to make a contraption to pick them. You were timed to see how many you could pick in a minute. You then had to figure out how long it would take you to pick a kilo, and if you were paid by the kilo how long would it take to earn a certain amount.
