Updates from the Board of Trustees

Ngaire Shepherd-Wills —

Tēnā koutou ngā whānau o Te kura o Mārama.

As we approach the end of the year, the Board of Trustees has been looking ahead to 2018. We are really pleased to see that our school roll has begun to stabilise as a result of new schools opening in the Rolleston area and this has helped with planning and staffing for next year.

The Board recently had Sonya Wilson from the School Trustees Association attend a meeting to share best practices for schools around Health and Safety. She shared some good information that can help the Board ensure that they meet all the legal requirements in this area. The budget for 2018 has also been a key focus and we are pleased to say that while funding for next year decreases due to our lower student numbers, the school is in a healthy financial position.

We appreciate what a busy time of year it is for Rob Rush and the Clearview staff and would like to thank them for making the end of the year a time of celebration for our Clearview learners while carefully planning for 2018.

I te wairua o mahi ngātahi,

Ngaire Shepherd-Wills
