In School Ice Skating Lesson

Clearview —

From the 23rd to 29th March, Clearview is hosting an Ice-Skating Rink in the School Hall.

It is a state of the art, artificial ice rink which has 97% same gliding capacity as natural ice. It looks like ice, skates like ice, but isn’t cold. It’s slightly easier for kids and learners as it is not as slippery as the real thing.

Your child will have the opportunity to opt into one lesson with their class during the week. There will also be public sessions after school Monday to Thursday, and during the weekend. This information will be in the School Newsletter and on the Clearview Facebook Page nearer the time.

The cost of a 50 minute lesson is $8.00. This includes a formal lesson, skates, gloves and a helmet. Students can bring their own gloves if they wish and it is recommended they wear long pants while skating, however this is not compulsory.

To pay for your child, the options are via the Clearview Online Shop “mykindo.co.nz” or cash to the office. Please ensure the correct cash is in an envelope or bag with your child/ren’s name and HB number on it and place in the box provided. No eftpos is available as the office is just a collection point.

The final day for payments is Tuesday 17th March, to allow for numbers to be counted and lesson slots to be allocated.

If parents are able to help with the set-up of the rink (4pm on Sunday 22nd March) or pack-down (5pm Sunday 29th March), please contact Tina Prince. We need at least 10-15 parents for approximately 2hrs.

This is an exciting opportunity for Clearview pupils, so we would love to see as many children participating as possible.
