This term, Matatea team has been learning about who they are and how their personal stories are connected to the stories of their families and our community. They have explored the stories of our community by learning about the Clearview cultural narrative and by visiting the museum.

Students have been learning their pepeha, creating personal timelines of main events that have happened in their lives, and written short autobiographies.  The students have been able to choose how they presented their pepeha information either by using Scratch Junior, portrait art, diorama, or a korowai cloak.

It was fantastic to see so many family members popping into the home bases this afternoon to see and hear the students talking about their work. The home bases in green block will be open again this evening from 5-6 pm for any family members that would like to pop in.  Ka pai tō mahi Matatea team!
