Last Friday on the 4th of September, a captain (and one of our school parents) named Ken Parker came to our class and spoke to a few of us plane enthusiasts about the life of a pilot and how planes fly. 

We learned how a plane wing creates lift and how the ailerons control the aircraft. Ken flys an ATR-72 which is a propeller plane you see flying over the school a lot. Afterward, Ken gave us time to ask him questions. When I am older I would love to become a pilot so this talk helped me understand things I would need to know to become a pilot. I would love to thank Ken for using his own time to come down and talk. So thank you from all of us.
