Flips and Tumbles

Flips and tumbles this year was really fun. Bright blue mats filled the plain brown hall. All of HB 9 and 10 hoped to get the same colour band as their friend (most of them didn’t), so they swapped.

Jarod yelled, “Hi over here!”

Everybody ran over that way. Jarod started by saying “today you are going to have four rotations they are the beam and tramp, parkour, rolls, and cartwheels”.

"First, before you go off we need to do some stretches”.

We did some pikes and tried to touch our toes, then we did straddles and reached forward then lent to each side in the straddle.

Then after we did a few more stretches we went off to our groups the different colored bands meant the different stations. I was a black band so I went to rolls and things like that. We were on an air track so we started by doing giraffe jumps all the way down to the other side. Then we started doing forward rolls 10 times. Then back rolls with help from the lady.

That was my experience of Flips and Tumbles. I hope we do it next year.  If we do I will love it.
